Colby Gilmore - Photography Bio

When I'm not deep in my day job of software product management, I prefer to be outdoors. Even when I'm working, I'm usually thinking about the mountains, and photography.
My goals are pretty simple: stay in shape for ski season, which usually means distance running or hiking in the nearby mountains. But that's not really the point. The real reason is to get outside, clear my head, and shoot photography.
I've been shooting for almost 30 years now, and it still doesn't bore me. There's something about chasing the right composition, light, and aperture that keeps me motivated. These galleries are my attempt to show you how I see the world. Cheers, Colby.
Philosophy
Great photography begins with intention. I focus on clean, cinematic compositions that let the subject breathe, using natural light and authentic color to bring each scene to life.
Whether it’s a commissioned portrait, editorial project, or personal series, my goal is to make every frame feel thoughtful and memorable.
